01

Product and getting started

What exactly is Calenday?
Calenday is appointment scheduling software. You publish a booking page, people choose a slot from your genuine availability, and the meeting is written to both calendars. It is sold as a one-time $99 licence covering unlimited users, and it can be self-hosted.
How long does setup take?
Around ten minutes for a working booking link: connect a calendar, set your weekly hours, create one event type, share the URL. Custom questions, buffers, workflows and payments can be added later without breaking links you have already sent out.
Do my guests need an account?
No. Anyone with the link can book. They pick a slot, fill in your form and receive a confirmation email with a calendar file attached. No sign-up, no password, no app to install on their side.
Can I try it before paying?
The free plan is the trial, and it does not expire. Unlimited bookings, unlimited event types, unlimited brands, calendar sync and a public booking page, with no card required. You only pay if you want workflows, payments, video links, analytics or your branding alone.
02

Pricing and billing

How much does Calenday cost?
There are two plans. Free costs nothing, forever. Lifetime costs $99, paid once, and covers unlimited users in your account. There is no subscription, no per-seat billing and no renewal invoice.
Is there a per-user charge?
No. Adding a colleague to your account costs nothing, on either plan. This is the single biggest difference from Calendly, Cal.com and Doodle, all of which bill per seat per month, so their cost rises every time you hire.
How does Calenday compare on three-year cost?
For five people over thirty-six months: $1,800 on Calendly Standard, $2,160 on Cal.com Teams, $1,620 on Doodle Team, and $99 on Calenday. Figures use each vendor’s cheapest paid plan and come from their official pricing pages.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Card payments through Stripe, in US dollars. Applicable VAT or sales tax is added at checkout based on your country, and Stripe issues the receipt. This is separate from the payments your own clients make to you, which go to your own account.

Features

Can several people share incoming bookings?
Yes, with round-robin distribution, and it is on the free plan. Incoming requests go to whichever team member is actually free. Calendly reserves round-robin for its Teams plan at $16 per seat per month; Cal.com for its Teams plan at $12.
Can I run more than one brand?
Yes, and this is Calenday’s clearest structural difference. One account holds several organisations that share nothing — separate booking pages, colours, members, contacts and data. Agencies run one brand per client without paying for a second subscription.
Can I take a deposit or full payment at booking?
Yes, with the Lifetime licence. Attach a price to an event type and the guest pays as they book. The money goes into your own connected Stripe or PayPal account. Unpaid bookings hold the slot briefly, then release it.
Does it handle group meetings and polls?
Both. A group event type lets several guests join the same slot up to a capacity you set. A slot poll proposes several times, collects votes on a public page, and lets you confirm the winner — useful when six diaries have to agree.
What does Calenday not do?
No native SMS or WhatsApp yet, no mobile apps, no CRM or invoicing, and a deliberately short integration list: Google, Microsoft, Zoom, Stripe, PayPal. It is also not open source, and holds no SOC 2, ISO 27001 or HIPAA certification.
04

Integrations

Which calendars can I connect?
Google Calendar and Microsoft 365, both with two-way sync: your existing events block slots, and confirmed bookings are written back with the guest attached. You can connect several calendars at once, including a personal one that blocks time without revealing details.
Which video tools are supported?
Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom. The conference link is created when a booking is confirmed and included in the invitation and confirmation email. Video links are part of the Lifetime licence.
Do I have to paste API keys anywhere?
Never. Every integration connects through an OAuth button — you approve access on Google, Microsoft, Zoom, Stripe or PayPal, and Calenday stores the resulting credentials encrypted. There is no field anywhere in the product for pasting a secret key.
Is there an API or webhooks?
Not yet publicly. Calenday consumes webhooks from Stripe and PayPal, but does not currently publish an outbound API for third-party developers. If your integration plan depends on one, Cal.com is the honest recommendation today.
05

Data, security and GDPR

Where is my data stored?
On the hosted service, in the region of our Supabase Postgres deployment. If you self-host, your data lives wherever you deploy it — your VPS, your private cloud, your datacentre. Self-hosting is included in the same $99 licence.
Is Calenday GDPR compliant?
Calenday is built to be usable under GDPR: a data processing agreement is published, data can be exported and deleted, third-party tokens are encrypted at rest, and self-hosting lets you keep everything in a region you choose. Compliance also depends on how you use it, which is why the DPA sets out both sides.
Do you hold SOC 2 or ISO 27001?
No. Calenday holds no SOC 2, ISO 27001 or HIPAA certification, and we will not imply otherwise. We describe the concrete measures in place — encryption at rest, row-level security, verified webhook signatures, TOTP two-factor — and you judge whether that meets your bar.
How is my account protected?
Password authentication with an optional TOTP second factor and recovery codes, using any standard authenticator app. Sessions are managed by Supabase Auth. Public booking endpoints are rate-limited so they cannot be used to flood your calendar.
Can I export or delete everything?
Yes. Contacts and booking history export to CSV from the dashboard at any time, without contacting support. Deleting your account removes your data from the hosted service. Self-hosted, the database was always yours.
06

Account and support

How do I get help?
By email. Write to the address on our contact page and you will get a reply from someone who has read your message, normally within two business days. There is no support tier that buys a faster answer.
Can I migrate from another tool?
Your event types, availability rules and booking pages have to be recreated — no scheduling vendor offers an import for these. Your calendar comes across automatically once connected, and your contacts can be imported from a CSV export of your old tool.
What happens to booked meetings if I switch plans?
Nothing. Existing bookings, links and calendar entries are untouched. Moving from Lifetime back to Free would only disable the premium features going forward — it would not cancel a meeting or break a link you have already shared.
In which languages is Calenday available?
English, French, German and Spanish, across the whole product: dashboard, public booking pages and transactional emails. A booking page can also be pinned to a single language regardless of the visitor’s browser setting.
