Calenday has two plans and neither of them is a subscription. The free plan is a working product with no booking cap and no expiry. The Lifetime licence costs $99, is paid a single time, and covers every user in your account for as long as you use it.

What does a subscription actually cost?

A per-seat subscription looks small monthly and large in aggregate. Over thirty-six months, a five-person team pays $1,800 on Calendly Standard, $2,160 on Cal.com Teams and $1,620 on Doodle Team. Calenday costs $99 for the same three years and the same five people.

What the $99 unlocks

Exactly five things. We list them precisely because vague premium tiers are how software gets sold twice. If none of these five matter to you, stay on the free plan — it is a complete scheduling tool without them.

  • Automated workflows

Reminder and follow-up emails on four triggers, with your own copy and your own timing.

  • Booking payments

Charge for a meeting through your own Stripe or PayPal account, with the slot held until payment clears.

  • Video conferencing

Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom links generated automatically at confirmation.

  • Analytics

Booking volume, cancellation and no-show rates, and which event types are actually used.

  • Your branding only

The “Powered by Calenday” line disappears from your public booking pages.

The model

Why sell it once?

Because the recurring cost of running a scheduling tool is small, and charging monthly for it mostly funds the sales machine that convinces you to keep paying monthly. We would rather remove the machine and lower the price.

The obvious objection deserves an answer: can a company without recurring revenue keep the lights on? Three things make it workable here. Infrastructure cost per account is measured in cents, not dollars. There is no enterprise sales team, no procurement cycle and no account managers to fund. And the product is deployable on your own server, which means we cannot hold your data hostage even if we wanted to — a constraint that keeps us honest.

What that model does not buy you is a 24/7 support desk or a signed uptime guarantee. Those are real things that real subscriptions pay for, and if your business needs them contractually, a per-seat vendor with an enterprise plan is the correct answer. We are not going to pretend otherwise to close a sale.

The price is in US dollars and charged through Stripe. If it ever changes, it changes for new purchases only: a licence bought at $99 stays a licence bought at $99.

Questions

Questions about pricing

Is $99 per user or per account?
Per account. One payment of $99 covers every user in your Calenday account, however many you invite, across however many brands you create. There is no seat count to declare, no upgrade prompt at the fifth user, and no annual reconciliation.
Does “lifetime” mean lifetime?
It means the licence does not expire and is never re-billed. Concretely: you pay $99, and you keep access to the Lifetime features for as long as you use Calenday, including future updates to those features. There is no renewal date in your account because there is no renewal.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 14 days of purchase, under the terms of sale. Because the free plan has no time limit and no booking cap, we would rather you tested the product properly before paying — the free plan is the real trial.
Are updates included?
Yes. Improvements to the Lifetime features reach your account without an additional charge. If a genuinely separate product is built later, it will be sold separately and stated as such — it will not be quietly folded into your licence and then billed.
What about VAT and sales tax?
The $99 is exclusive of tax. Applicable VAT or sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your country and, for businesses, your VAT number. Stripe handles the calculation and issues the receipt.
Is the free plan limited in time?
No. It has no expiry date, no booking quota and no card requirement. It is limited by feature, not by clock: no workflows, no booking payments, no video links, no analytics, and a “Powered by Calenday” line on your booking pages.
Can I move my licence to another account?
The licence is attached to the account that bought it and is not resold or transferred between customers. If your company restructures and the account itself needs to change hands, contact us and we will handle it case by case.
Does self-hosting cost more?
No. The same $99 licence covers running Calenday on your own infrastructure. You pay for your server and your database; we do not charge a deployment fee, a per-instance fee or an enterprise uplift for the privilege of hosting it yourself.
