A Teams scheduling app for client bookings
Calenday is a Teams scheduling app that adds a Microsoft Teams meeting to every confirmed booking. Guests pick a time on your booking page, and the Teams link appears in the Outlook event, the confirmation email and the .ics file. It requires a work or school Microsoft 365 account and the $99 one-time Lifetime license.
How does Calenday create Microsoft Teams meetings?
Calenday creates a Microsoft Teams meeting through your connected Microsoft 365 account as soon as a booking is confirmed. The Teams link is added to the Outlook calendar event, the confirmation email with its Join button and the .ics file. Your Microsoft account must be the destination calendar.
Teams link per booking
Each confirmed booking gets its own Microsoft Teams meeting, created automatically.
In Outlook
The Teams meeting is attached to the Outlook event Calenday adds to your calendar.
In the confirmation email
The guest receives a Join button in the Calenday email and the link in the .ics file.
In reminder emails
With Lifetime workflows, reminder emails can include the video link as a variable.
How do you schedule Teams meetings with Calenday?
Scheduling Teams meetings with Calenday takes three steps: connect your Microsoft 365 account, choose Microsoft Teams as the video provider on an event type, then share the booking link. The setup needs the Lifetime license and a work or school account, and it involves no keys or tokens.
- 01
Connect Microsoft 365
Go to Availability → Calendar settings and connect your work or school Microsoft account as the destination calendar.
- 02
Pick Microsoft Teams
In Scheduling, open an event type, set Location to Video call and select Microsoft Teams as the video provider.
- 03
Share the booking link
Each new booking now includes a Teams meeting in Outlook, the confirmation email and the .ics file.
Which accounts can create Teams meetings in Calenday?
Only work or school Microsoft 365 accounts can create Teams meetings through Calenday. Personal Microsoft accounts are not supported for Teams. The same connection also reads your Outlook availability for free, so one Microsoft sign-in covers busy times, calendar events and, with the Lifetime license, Teams links.
Work or school account
A business or education Microsoft 365 account is required to create Teams meetings.
One sign-in
The Microsoft connection that blocks Outlook busy times is the same one that creates Teams links.
Microsoft invitation too
Microsoft sends its own Outlook invitation to the guest alongside the Calenday confirmation.
Lifetime feature
Teams links are unlocked, with Meet, Zoom, payments and workflows, by the $99 Lifetime license.
What does the Teams integration not support?
The Calenday Teams integration does not work with personal Microsoft accounts, only with work or school Microsoft 365 accounts. The Teams link is not shown yet on the page displayed right after booking or in the rescheduling email. Calenday does not support on-premises Exchange.
No personal accounts
Personal Microsoft accounts cannot create Teams meetings through Calenday.
Not on the confirmation page
The page shown right after booking does not display the Teams link yet; the email and .ics file do.
Not in the rescheduling email
When the host reschedules, the rescheduling email does not include the video link yet.
Teams scheduling questions
- How do I let clients book a Teams meeting with me?
- Connect your Microsoft 365 account in Calenday, choose Microsoft Teams as the video provider on an event type, and share its booking link. When a client picks a time, Calenday creates the Teams meeting and emails the link. This needs the Lifetime license, a single $99 payment.
- Can I use a personal Microsoft account for Teams?
- No. Calenday creates Teams meetings only through work or school Microsoft 365 accounts. Personal Microsoft accounts are not supported for Teams links. If you only have a personal account, Zoom is an alternative in Calenday, since it creates meetings even without any calendar connected.
- Do guests need Microsoft Teams installed?
- Guests do not connect anything to Calenday; they simply open the Teams link from the confirmation email, the .ics file or their calendar. How they join, in the Teams app or in a browser, is decided by Microsoft Teams and your organization’s settings, not by Calenday.
- Is the Teams integration included in the free plan?
- No. Microsoft Teams links require the Calenday Lifetime license, $99 once for unlimited users. The Outlook calendar connection is free, so you can block busy times and add bookings to Outlook on the free plan, then add Teams links later with the license.
