Stripe scheduling: get paid when clients book

Calenday adds Stripe payments to scheduling: guests pay by card before their booking is confirmed, and the money goes straight to your own Stripe account. Calenday takes no commission and never holds your funds. Stripe scheduling supports USD, EUR, GBP, CAD and CHF, and comes with the $99 one-time Lifetime license.

What it does

How does Stripe scheduling work in Calenday?

Stripe scheduling in Calenday asks the guest to pay before the booking is confirmed. While the guest pays, Calenday holds the time slot for 30 minutes so nobody else can take it. Once payment succeeds, the booking is confirmed and the money lands in your Stripe account.

  • Pay before confirmation

The booking is only confirmed after the guest completes the Stripe payment.

  • Slot held for 30 minutes

The chosen time is reserved for the guest for 30 minutes while they pay.

  • Your own Stripe account

Funds are paid directly into your Stripe account. Calenday never holds them.

  • No Calenday commission

Calenday takes no cut of your payments. Stripe’s own processing fees still apply.

Setup

How do you connect Stripe to Calenday?

Connecting Stripe to Calenday takes three steps: click Connect next to Stripe, complete Stripe’s hosted onboarding, then set a price on an event type. Calenday uses Stripe Connect, so you never paste API keys. Only an owner or admin of the organization can connect Stripe.

  • 01

    Open Integrations & apps

As an owner or admin, open the Integrations & apps page in Calenday and click Connect next to Stripe.

  • 02

    Finish Stripe onboarding

Stripe hosts the onboarding: sign in or create an account and enter your business details with Stripe directly.

  • 03

Set a price on an event type

In Scheduling, open an event type, turn on payment, set the amount and currency, and choose Stripe.

Which currencies and refunds does Stripe support in Calenday?

Calenday supports five currencies with Stripe: US dollars, euros, British pounds, Canadian dollars and Swiss francs. Refunds are manual: you issue one with a single button from the Meetings page. Canceling a booking does not refund the guest automatically, so you decide case by case.

  • Five currencies

USD, EUR, GBP, CAD and CHF, chosen per event type.

  • One-click refunds

Refund a paid booking from the Meetings page with one button.

  • Stripe Connect

Stripe hosts the onboarding and pays out to your own connected account.

  • Combine with video

A paid event type can also create a Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams link at confirmation.

Limits

What does the Stripe integration not do?

The Calenday Stripe integration does not refund automatically when a booking is canceled; the host issues each refund manually. It supports five currencies only, and only an owner or admin can connect Stripe. Calenday does not handle invoicing or accounting; Stripe remains your payment system.

  • No automatic refunds

Canceling a booking does not trigger a refund. Use the refund button in Meetings.

  • Five currencies

Prices can only be set in USD, EUR, GBP, CAD or CHF.

  • Owner or admin only

Regular members cannot connect or manage the organization’s Stripe account.

FAQ

Stripe scheduling questions

Does Calenday take a fee on Stripe payments?
No. Calenday takes no commission on payments. The money goes directly to your own Stripe account through Stripe Connect, and Calenday never holds it. Stripe still charges its usual processing fees on each payment, according to your Stripe account terms.
When does the guest pay?
The guest pays before the booking is confirmed. After choosing a time, they are sent to the Stripe payment step while Calenday holds the slot for 30 minutes. If the payment succeeds, the booking is confirmed and the confirmation email goes out; if the payment is not completed, the hold ends after 30 minutes.
Are refunds automatic when a booking is canceled?
No. Refunds in Calenday are manual. To refund a guest, open the booking in the Meetings page and click the refund button; Stripe sends the money back to the guest. Canceling a booking alone does not trigger a refund, so you stay in control of your cancellation policy.
Can I offer PayPal as well as Stripe?
Yes. Calenday also connects PayPal business accounts, with the same flow: payment before confirmation, a 30-minute slot hold, money paid to your own account and manual refunds. Both are part of the Lifetime license, a single $99 payment for unlimited users.
